NSUI has elevated Nigam Bhandari to the post of National General Secretary. In its latest expansion in the National Executive Committee, NSUI has promoted its four active workers to the post of National General Secretary. Other three are Mohit Sharma of Uttrakhand, Leni Jadhav and Bhushan Penchalwar of Maharashtra.
Nigam Bhandari hails from Pangi village of Kalpa in district Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh and is active party worker from past six years. He was elected campus president of H.P University in 2009 and NSUI State General Secretary in 2010.
In 2011, Bhandari was elevated to the post of National Secretary of all India NSUI and was made in-charge of Maharastra, Mumbai, Orissa, Daman & Diu, Dadar Nagar Haveli and Andaman & Nicobar.
Nigam Bhandari has thanked AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, National President NSUI Rohit Chaudhary, AICC Sec and in-charge NSUI Girish, Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh, H PCC president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and NSUI Workers for their support. He said that he’ll work to strengthen the party student wing.
