Himachal Pradesh Congress has taken a strong exception to BJP leaders’ remarks over the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) President Thakur Sukhvinder Singh (Sukhu) as they have remarked his as a defeated leader.
HPCC spokesman Naresh Chauhan said that the public response to Sukhu during his tours of various districts has made BJP jittery. He added that their outbursts are expression of their frustration and jealousy. Chauhan said that BJP should remember that former BJP Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had himself lost parliamentary election from Hamirpur twice and in 1996 he lost to a greenhorn with no experience of electoral politics. He alleged that Anurag Thakur won elections only after his father was occupying the office of chief minister, but Sukhu has risen from grass-root and he is in politics due to his hardwork and merit.
He also targeted BJP and blamed them for promoted land mafia during their regime. He said that Congress would expose their misdeeds in the coming time.
