A deputation of Himachal Pradesh Attorneys (Prosecutors) Association led by its Chief Patron, B.S. Pathania and President, Kulbir Singh Chauhan called on Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here today and submitted their demands for redressal. They urged the Chief Minister to restore the status-quo in respect of appointments of District Attorney’s Revenue in the districts as was the practice prior to 2008.
They also requested the Chief Minister for setting up separate wing of the prosecution in HP secretariat by restoring the posting of officers of the rank of District Attorney or Deputy District Attorney besides restoring the post of District Attorney in the office of Deputy Commissioner. The Chief Minister assured them of considering their demands genuinely.
