Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that a special meeting of Gram Sabha would be held on 2nd September, 2012 to discuss nutrition and related issues.
The Minister said that Panchayati Raj Department had issued instructions to all Gram Panchayats through District Panchayat Officers and Block Development Officers to ensure the meetings of Special Gram Sabha. He said that the Gram Panchayats had been asked to ensure the participation of people in the meeting of Gram Sabhas.
Jai Ram Thakur said that various issues of health, cleanliness, drinking water in addition to agriculture, horticulture, Public Distribution System would be discussed in the meetings.
