BJP leader and former Theog legislature Rakesh Verma has demanded to fix the responsibility for dereliction and omission of duty into the collapse of HRTC building at Theog yesterday.
Rakesh Verma stated that the building was declared unsafe and despite that it was being used as Transport booking office cum Office. Targeting the state government Verma said
“this government of Retirees and hired people is causing lot of damage to the State and to the people.”
The responsible for dereliction and omission should be punished, Verma further added. He said the CM and IPH Minister had laid the foundation stone of the New Bus stand on 14 November 2013 (4 years ago) but the work had only just started.
Earlier yesterday, four persons were killed and six other injured when a multi-storeyed building of the HRTC at the Theog Bus Stand collapsed. Administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry, to be undertaken by the SDM Theog, into the incident and the report will be submitted within two weeks.
