Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has decided to release an amount of Rs. 15 crore to its pensioners and employees within a week on account of pension and other pending dues.
Transport Minister GS Bali said that out of this amount, Rs. 817 lakh would be released to 4795 employees of HRTC, on account of pension for the month of September.
Bali said that eight month dues of old NOA/OTA have already been released during the month of June, 2016 amounting to Rs. 17 crore. He said that one month due payment of old NOA/OTA for the month of August, 2014 out of pending two month amounting to Rs. 230 lakh would be released.
Transport Minister said that out of this amount, Rs. 180 lakh would be released to the retirees on account of pending leave encashment for the month of August and September, 2015, which would benefit 59 pensioners.
Bali said that an amount of Rs. 244.23 lakh would be released on account of pending gratuity for the month of July and August, 2015, covering 53 cases. He said that Rs 29 lakh would be released on account of DCRG covering 4 death cases.
Bali said that all these payments would be released by the HRTC on or before 20th of November, 2016 to facilitate the employees and pensioners of HRTC.
