The State Government has approved five detailed project reports of Rural Water Supply Schemes amounting to Rs. 860.22 lakh for the districts of Kangra, Mandi and Shimla for funding under NABARD under RIDF-XX Programme for the current financial year.
A Spokesperson of the State Government disclosed that schemes approved includes improvement and augmentation of water supply scheme Passu Dhagwar and Bagli Ghana in Tehsil Dharamshala constituency of Kangra district estimated to cost Rs. 267.95 lakh. The scheme will benefit 47 habitats. The another scheme approved for Kangra district include augmentation of lift water supply scheme Malahri, Surarwan, Gagwan and Ghandran in Tehsil Indora which is estimated to cost Rs. 299.61 lakh and would benefit 27 habitats.
He said that improvement and augmentation of water supply scheme Palnidhar, Bandal, Uba, Heel, Dawapra and Baldun in GP Deori, Nagdhar and Shiva in Illaqa Badar in Tehsil Sadar in Drang constituency of Mandi district had also been approved which would cost Rs, 166.01 lakh and 19 habitats would be benefited by this. The another scheme includes providing GWSS Gajyani in GP Sheeladesh in Tehsil Chirgaon of Rohru constituency in Shimla district at an estimated cost of Rs. 37.80 lakh benefiting one habitat. The another scheme prioritized for Shimla district was LWSS Shalli Temple in GP Khatnol, Tehsil Sunni in and Shimla Rural constituency which is estimated to Rs. 88.85 lakh.
