Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Irrigation and Public Health Jagjivan Pal said that State Government was committed to provide adequate drinking water to all the areas of the State and for drinking and irrigation facilities Sulah Vidhan Sabha segment of Kangra district Rs. 7573.86 lakh would be spent.
Pal said that Rs. 5988.70 lakh would be spent on drinking schemes through I&PH Division Thural while Rs. 409.21 lakh through I&PH Division, Palampur. He said that total 6397.91 lakh would be spent in Sulah Vidhan Sabha segment on drinking schemes.
CPS said that Rs. 1143.05 lakh would be spent on providing irrigation facilities for the area besides Rs. 32.90 lakh on controlling of floods. He said that Rs. 120 lakh would be spent for installing hand pumps in the constituency during this financial year.
He said that Rs. 279.44 lakh would be spent on two different drinking water schemes under MNP Drinking Water Scheme and Rs. 1168 lakh on seven drinking water schemes under NABARD.
