The Himachal Pradesh CPM has strongly condemned the arrest of its Hamirpur leader Anil Mankotia in connection of fistfight with BJYM leader Narender Atri, who was hospitalized in Hamirpur and later referred to IGMC Shimla.
The CPM leader and deputy mayor of MC Shimla Tikender Singh Panwar has sought the immediate intervention of the Chief Minister, who also holds the home Minister of the state. The CPM has claimed that the BJP supporters first beat up Anil Mankotia and then lodged frivolous complaint against him.
The party has warned the Hamirpur district police to not to be cowed down and not to blindly follow the dictates of BJP and work in an objective manner. Panwar shown surprise over the non-bailable sections mounted against Mankotia. He accused that real miscreants are roaming freely.
Tikender has stated that party has always stood for the right and when it’s launched tirade against corruption of BJP and HPCA, party cadre invited the ire of BJP. He accused the BJP of vandalism and spreading terror tactics in Hamirpur region. He stated that such tactics won’t deter the CPM from raising its voice against rampant corruption and exposing the hidden agenda of the BJP.
The CPM has decided to expose this dastardly act in the state and will organize protest demonstrations to force the state government to take appropriate action against the guilty, Panwar added.
