New Delhi.: Winner of SJVN’s state-level painting competition, Modak Verma, a class VI student of DAV Lakkar Bazar has begged 3rd prize at the National Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation held at New Delhi on the Energy Conservation Day.
The Award was given away by President of India, Pranab Mukharjee at Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi. Minister of Power, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Secretary (Power) P.K. Sinha, N.L. Sharma, Director (Personnel) and A.K. Mukharjee, GM (P&A) SJVN Limited were also present on the occasion. On this occasion were also present.
The painting competition is organised every year by SJVN Limited under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), to promote the ‘National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation’ as well as the painting talents of children in Himachal Pradesh. This year as many as 3,90,621 students from 11,177 schools from all over Himachal Pradesh had participated in the 1st level of competition.
