Senior Congress leader and Chairman State Level Planning Development and 20 Point Programme Committee Ram Lal Thakur and Chairman State Pollution Control Board Kuldeep Pathania called on senior Congress leader and In-charge Himachal Affairs Ambika Soni at New Delhi today.
Congress leaders appraised state party affair in-charge about the political and socio-economic scenario of the State and also praised Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh leadership and claimed that under his leadership state was making overall progress.
The leaders informed Soni that the vote share of Congress Party in the recently held Mandi by-election had increased by 8 per cent and the Congress candidate Pratibha Singh won by a margin of over 1.36 lakh votes. They said that people of the State has once again reposed their faith in the policies and programmes of the UPA Government at the Centre as well as in the developmental endeavours of the State Government.
They assured Soni about the positive outcome in the forthcoming parliamentary election and claimed to win all the four seats in the Lok Sabha election under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh.
