Donn Congress MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary, who was booked for his alleged involvement in Jyoti murder case, moved his bail application in a local court. In his bail application, Chaudhary claimed that the chargesheet filed against him was incomplete and based on his confession statement. He said that his confession statement was obtained from him under police pressure.
The local court has issued notice to district police on the bail application for April 10. Meanwhile, the district police on Monday failed to provide copies of chargesheet to the two accused arrested for harboring Chaudhary. The investigation officer of murder case was summoned in the court and allowed to go after a written assurance that copies of chargesheet will provided on April 10.
Six other associates of Chaudhary, who are lodged in Ambala Central Jail, would also be given copies of chargesheet on April 11.
Chaudhary had surrendered at the local court in January 2013 after court had issued arrest warrant against him. Even, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee had also suspended him from the party and also had removed him from the post of party general secretary.
