Haryana police has opposed the bail petition filed by Congress leader and Doon legislature Ram Kumar Chaudhary, in Jyoti murder case.

The court has fixed April 11 for argument on bail application. While applying for the bail, the defence lawyer had contended that the applicant deserved concession on account of the prosecution’s default to present the complete challan under Section 173 of CrPC within the stipulated period of 90 days.

In its written reply of two pages, Haryana police said that the challan was submitted within 90 days from the date of arrest of the applicant and they filed the challan well within limitation. They added that all the relevant documents on which the prosecution is relying have been attached with the challan.
