Panchkula: Jyoti Murder Case has taken another twist as father of the victim Buti Ram, who had turned hostile earlier, has accused Doon MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary’s relatives and associates for pressurizing him to keep mum over the issue.

In a written application to Panchkula Police, Buti Ram has claimed to receive repeated threats from “henchmen” and “relatives” of Doon MLA. He also claimed that he was offered bribes to withdraw from the case. He claimed that Chaudhary’s wife also came to his residence offering Rs 21 lakh.

Buti has complaint that he was followed and threatened by goons at gunpoint on various occasions for not identifying Chaudhary and the other accused. Buti even alleged that he was followed by the MLA’s men to the court.

Acting on Buti Ram’s complaint, the Panchkula Police has decided to register an FIR against Chaudhary, his wife and those named by Buti Ram in his complaint.

Buti Ram also produced a CD allegedly containing recorded conversation between him and two persons who allegedly threatened him. He also alleged that he was held at gunpoint while he was on his way to Panchkula on the day of evidence for him to say he did not know Chaudhary.
