Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) has advised the state government to avoid confrontation with agitating Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) employees, as it would cause “inconvenience” to majority of people who depend heavily on road transport.
HLP spokesman Mohinder Sofat said that the HRTC was plying buses in remote areas where, condition of roads is bad and even private transporters are not willing to operate. He added that if HRTC services disrupted people will have to suffer from it.
He also urged the government to formulate new transport policy, taking the employees unions into confidence.
