The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) chairman Harsh Mahajan vowed to take HPSCB to new heights and would straighten its customer base with better services and performance. He claimed that HPSCB is the first state cooperative bank in the country on 100 per cent core banking solutions (CBS).

In an official press communiqué, bank Chairman Harsh Mahajan revealed that Bank was linked with the platform of core banking solutions recently, and had provided access to more than 1.40 lakh ATMs (automated teller machines) of various banks operating across the country. The bank is also providing an online National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) facility in all its branches in the state.

Mahajan said the bank had been catering to the services of over 14 lakh customers of six districts of Himachal Pradesh which included Chamba, Mandi, Bilaspur, Sirmour, Kinnaur and Shimla. He added that Cooperative Bank effectively serving rural masses through a gamut of attractive loans and deposit schemes. He said that Bank would make necessary changes or modification in its services and will make its services enable for the common people. He said that being a presence in rural, HPSCB will work to strengthen its services in those region and with better services it will woo new customers.

He also lauded the role of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in promoting Bank and said that under his leadership HPSCB will sail new heights in the coming time.
