To impart training under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY), MC Shimla hold meeting, which was presided by Deputy Mayor Tikender Singh Panwar and attended by Ashish Kohli, Asst. Commissioner, MC Shimla, Kala Sharma, Kanta Suyal, Nirmala Chauhan, Usha Lakhanpal, Uma Kaushal, Shashi Shekhar, Kalyan Chand, Rajni Singh, Sushma Kuthiala, Anup Vaid, Satya Kaundal, Nariender Thakur, Bharti Kuthiala, Amitabh Mishra, Parul Awasthi and Nikita Chauhan.
MC Shimla has been provided with a grant to conduct trainings under the various components of SJSRY for the year 2012 – 2013. Under this scheme of Govt of India, 1500 Urban BPL and economically weaker section beneficiaries would be imparted trainings viz., Computer and I.T. literacy, Retail and Marketing, Tourism, Hotel and Hospitality Management, Disaster Management etc.
In the meeting Deputy Mayor focussed on requirement of exclusive Food Court to be proposed at the Ladies Park, Shimla, with the association of Self Help Groups to serve exclusive HImachali Cuisines. This is proposed to be inaugurated on Women’s Day, 8th March 2013.
Representatives of the agency empanelled with the Urban Development Department, Govt. Himachal Pradesh, M/s I.T. ACADEMICS (P) LTD. (An ISO 9001:2008 Certified Organization) gave their brief insight regarding the structure of trainings, employment opportunities and answered the queries of the councillors.
