Chief Minister, designate, Virbhadra Singh and Governor Urmila Singh, congratulated the people of the State, especially the Christian brethren on Christmas.

In his message he wished the members of the Community a very merry Christmas and said that the festival may bring them peace, harmony and happiness. He said that Lord Jesus preached tolerance and love for every individual and living being which needed to be followed in day to day life.

He hoped that people of all castes and religion would actively participate in the X-mas festivity which would further strengthen the bond of Universal Brotherhood in real sense.

The Governor also felicitates the people of Himachal on the eve and in her message said that peace and brotherhood can only be developed in the world by treading upon the path of truthfulness and love. She said that Christmas was the reminder of the profound message of Lord Jesus Christ of spreading universal brotherhood to each and every individual, adding that Christmas may inspire us on the path of mutual understanding for overall development of the Nation.
