PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that the Himachal Pradesh is selected for the prestigious ‘Most Attractive Investment Destination State’ Award by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
National President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sandip Somany, in his letter to Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, informed that the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, will confer the prestigious ‘Most Attractive Investment Destination State’ Award to state, in a Chief Minister’s Conclave and Award Ceremony scheduled to be organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, on Decmeber 15, 2012. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal will receive the Award on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
It will be 76th Award in the series of Awards received by the State under the leadership of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal during his ongoing term. Himachal Pradesh has been adjudged Best State by the premier body of entrepreneurs and industrialists of the country, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for creating quality infrastructural facilities besides best industrial investment friendly environment and extending all cooperation in setting up of industrial units in industrial areas of the State. Despite the premature withdrawal of the Special Industrial Package by the Centre, the State have been successful in attracting regular industrial investments which had been possible due to the credibility built up amongst the industrial investors.
Meira Kumar, Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha will also be conferring upon Himachal Pradesh the national level ‘ IBN7 Diamond Strate Award in Education’ instituted by IBN7 Group of electronic channels on December 22, 2012, in New Delhi. It has been communicated by Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief and Ashutosh, Managing Editor, IBN7 and TV18 in a written communication addressed to Chief Minister. It would be 77th Award won by the State during past five years.
Chief Minister has thanked the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and IBN and TV18 for selecting Himachal Pradesh for the prestigious Awards. He said that it had been possible with the overwhelming support and cooperation of the people of the State who had been the sole driving force behind all such achievements of the State. He thanked all the organizations, national and international, including Government of India, for conferring upon Himachal Pradesh record number of Awards. He said that such Awards had been of utmost value to the State in motivating the Government to work more vigorously to maintain the status of various achievements made on different fronts. He dedicated all the Awards to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
