In an internal review meeting yesterday, which was convened to take stock of the power position in the State during ensuing winter season, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had claimed for the adequate arrangements to meet the additional demand of power during winter months to supply consumers uninterrupted power but hundreds of residents of Veer Khana (Dyerton Estate) of Khalini, just below the Chief Minister’s official residence Oak Over Shimla, are facing the electricity power cut and low voltage from last five days.
Residents of Veer Khana, ward number-2 of MC Shimla are facing the regular power cut and low voltage from early morning and continue till mid day. Most of residents of Veer Khana are office going and suffering hard from it.
However, Chief Minister has claimed for the uninterrupted power supply to wade the chilly winter of Himachal Pradesh, but it seems that electricity department is not keen execute Chief minister’s claims.
