Members of the Palampur Zila Banao Sangharsh Samiti have announced to expose the names of BJP leaders allegedly opposed to the demand of the district status for Palampur. They claimed that their opposition had forced Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal to postpone the creation of new districts in the state.
In the press communiqué, Palampur Zila Banao Sangharsh Samiti president Jagmel Katoch said the members would oppose these BJP leaders in the Assembly polls. Katoch further added that the samiti would soon organise a meeting of residents of Palampur, Baijnath and Jaisinghpur subdivisions to decide on the further course of action.
