State Congress general secretary and former Forests Minister Ram Lal Thakur has asked BJP national vice-president Shanta Kumar to explain his earlier stance of criticising the state government on issues such as rampant corruption and now has taken U-turn in supporting the same government from joint platforms with the leaders he had earlier accused of corruption.

Addressing Congress workers at Jukhala near, Ram Lal Thakur said the latest stand of Shanta Kumar had not only baffled all, but also damaged his reputation. Congress leader added that the Election Commission should take cognizance of the BJP leaders exploiting the Govt and criticising Opposition leaders and thereby turning such inaugurations and foundation-laying functions of the government into political meetings. He stated that the Election Commission should enforce the code of conduct immediately to stop the same.
