Mandi Bachao Morcha convener Lakshmender Guleria criticized against the decision of the Govt to inaugurate the new bus stand project at Mandi. The Morcha has also sought a stay on the grounds that its inauguration is illegal as bus stand is half-complete.

Morcha stated that High Court is yet to give its verdict on it, but Govt is going to inaugurate the incomplete bus stand. Mandi Bachao Morcha claims that the government is in a hurry to take credit ahead of the Assembly polls by inaugurating the incomplete Rs 16-crore bus stand project.

On the other hand, the HRTC and HIMUDA, the executive agencies have approved the inauguration despite the fact that they have filed a reply in the High Court stating that 20 per cent of the work on the bus stand is yet to be completed.
