Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today refuted HPCC president Virbhadra Singh’s allegations that the BJP government had failed to fulfill promises made in its election manifesto.
In his reply, Dhumal claimed that the government has not only implemented all the promises within the first two years but has gone “much beyond” the manifesto to benefit the people. He said poll promises like increase old age pension, daily wages and women welfare were implemented by the government within three days after coming to power. He added that due to farmer-friendly policies of the government, Himachal has emerged as the front-runner in the horticulture sector.
Prem Kumar Dhumal alleged that Congress leader is trying to mislead people and his all allegations are politically motivated. He claimed that voters will give a “befitting” reply to the Congress in the coming elections.
