Himachal BJP has ridiculed UPA Govt’s plans to distribute free mobile phones to 6.5 cr BPL families. BJP spokesperson Ganesh Dutt stated that distribution of mobile phones is nothing but a cruel joke with people living in rural areas where more than 40 per cent people do not have adequate food, shelter, water, proper sanitation and healthcare facilities.
He alleged that UPA Govt has lost its way and right now it has no plan and no clear foresightedness for the Indian youth, who need employment and formidable policy. Dutt said that UPA Govt is trying to give benefits for the telecommunication companies and this free mobile phones programme is just to gain few votes and nothing else.
