Senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar announced that he won’t return to the State politics, but said that he will campaign in the assembly election. He said that as he is the only surviving member of the “old stock of the BJP” that raised the party in the state, his priority now is to give other leaders chance and make them able to lead the party from front.
For the forthcoming election, he said that party will field candidates with clean image and hoping to repeat the government in state. On HLP he said that party rebel can affect party prospects in some seats.
