Congress senior leader GS Bali is satisfied with the response receive by his Rozgar Sangharsh Yatra. Bali claims to have gathered vital unemployment data from yatra’s first phase and believes that the present situation could take a turn for the worse if the timely measures were not initiated.
Bali opined that the state had enough resources to generate employment especially in the tourism and hydro power sector.
Bali downplayed Dhumal-government’s plan to bifurcate existing Kangra district as a political stunt ahead of assembly polls. He said the move was a ploy to weaken Kangra. Bali strongly criticized Dhumal-government for failing to accelerate development activities in Kangra in past five years.
He instead proposed the formation of a state-level commission to look into economic viability of newly proposed districts to be formed by splitting the existing ones.
