Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur would soon be set up and foundation stone of Government Polytechnic would also be laid at Kalol in the near future. Seer Khad Channelization Project would be completed at a cost of Rs. 23.17 crore to save the valuable fertile land of the farmers in the area. This was stated by Chief Minister, while addressing a public at Ghumarwin after performing foundation stone laying ceremony of Civil Hospital building, estimated to cost Rs. 146 lakhs and dedicating newly constructed Rainbow Fortis Hospital to the people of the area.
Prof. Dhumal said that Rs. 88 crore Changar area Medium Lift Irrigation Project had been dedicated to the people of the area which were lacking irrigation facilities and was bound to give momentum to farm activities in the Changer area of the district. He said that the First Women IRB was being set up at Bassi below Naina Devi Temple and the campus was being developed at a cost of Rs. 75 crore. He said that additionally Rs. 2 crore were also being spent on construction of Trauma Centre at Bilaspur. He said that out of 151 gram panchayats 149 gram panchayats had been connected with motorable roads. He said that forest clearance for remaining panchayats were awaited and the construction work would be resumed on receipt of the clearances and all panchayats connected with all weather motorable roads.
Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards the Hon’ble Supreme Court for delivering justice by issuing directions to the BBMB to provide 7.19 percent share in the power from the hydel projects constructed by BBMB in the State. He said that it was only a partial relief delivered to the people while much more was awaited. He said that the people of the state had made many sacrifices to pave the way for construction of BBMB hydel projects in the country so that people could get electricity. He said that a large number of families ousted due to the project construction were still awaiting their rehabilitation although half a century had already lapsed. He remembered the contribution made by NDA Government at the Centre under the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee who had always been considerate towards the developmental and welfare needs of the people. He said that the State had won record 46 National Level Awards in almost all major sectors in the country during past three and half a year term. He said that the achievements had boosted the morale of the State Government to work more vigorously to set new milestones in development sector.
Dhumal said that the State Government was committed to carry development by rising above political considerations to ensure balanced and speedy development of the State. He said that the State Government had made budgetary provisions for the construction of the new hospital building at Ghumarwin. He said that the State Government was committed to connect every village with motorable road, provide education, health, drinking water and other essential services to the people at their door steps. He said that it was during BJP regime that development of each and every area and section of society was being ensured. He said that 10 lakh students in government schools would be covered under Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Yojna who were being administered de-worming pills to make them healthy and strong. He said that free ambulance service was available to the people for emergency medical aids under Atal Swasthya Sewa Yojna.
