State Government would explore possibilities of setting up of a Ranger’s College at Karnodi near BBMB Colony by upgrading the existing Forest Training Institute, Sundernagar to train the manpower to protect and maintain forest wealth in the State. Chief Minister said it in the closing ceremony of 17th Sports and Duty Meet of the State Forest Department held at Sundernagar in Mandi district today after he dedicated newly constructed Forest Rest House at Karnodi, completed at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh to the people of the area. He announced Rs. 35 lakh for the expansion and development of the Forest Training Institute to meet the growing demand of modernization.
