Chief Minister layed foundation stone of Vivekananda Shram Aawaas at Baddi Jharmajri in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industrial area where 346 rooms would be constructed to provide affordable accommodation for workers in the industrial area for which the State Government had provided 17-17 bighas of land. There would be three new blocks, round the clock power back-up and water supply, security, parking and shopping plaza. The entire project has been targetted to be completed in two years.
Chief Minister layed foundation stone of Vishwakarma Skill Development Institution that will be developed at a cost Rs.8.5 crore. The Institute would impart training to 720 candidates in the first year and in the fifth year training intake would be enhanced to 1200 persons. The Institute will also train unemployed educated youth for three years in emerging industrial trades. The Institute would further enhance its intake capacity to 1800 in future. Dhumal also performed foundation stone laying ceremony of BBN Industries Association office estimated to cost of Rs. 1.25 crore, a common facility centre to all the members in industrial sector.
Kishan Kapoor, Industries Minister, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health Minister, Virender Kashyap, MP, Vinod Chandel, Rajiv Sejal, MLAs, J.S.Rana, Director Industries, Palrasu, Deputy Commissioner, Gurdev Sharma, S.P. and other senior Officers were also present at the occasion.
