PCC president Kaul Singh Thakur blamed government for corruption. This time he targetted ecotourism and leveled it as a big scam. He said that government is leasing tourist sites inside the demarcated protected forests at very low prices. He cited with the example of resort near Shimla where land has been given inside a forest for just Rs 6,100 annually. Without naming the resort, he added that even the Centre had intervened in this matter and had wrotten to the state government that it was violating laws by giving sites inside the forests for tourism projects. Kaul Singh Thakur has commented on a social networking site.
