Himachal Pradesh High Court has expressed its dissatisfaction over the work on the Auckland tunnel. PWD has earlier committed to complete this tunnel by March 31 and Court has demanded clear answer from the department.
Court has directed the Superintending Engineer, HP PWD, to be present before the court on March 28. The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary passed these orders on the petition of Tarlok Chauhan on the tardy progress of works under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). Auckland tunnel is delayed over three years and still it may take more time to complete.
