A delegation of Himachal Pradesh State Nursing Teachers Association, lead by Neeraj Verma, President and accompanied by Kusum Gurang, Senior Vice President and Bandana, General Secretary, met Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal to apprise him of their various demands relating to strengthening of the nurses training programmes in different schools being run by Health and Family Welfare Department of the State in different parts of the State. The delegation urged Chief Minister for admitting regular batches of nurses, multipurpose workers etc. to strengthen the para-medical force in the State besides other demands relating to framing of Recruitment and Promotion Rules for teaching faculty of Sister Nivedita Government Nursing School, Shimla etc.
Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the demands of the delegation and reiterated the resolve of the State Government to strengthen health infrastructure in the State which included producing more professionals through the training schools of the Health Department. He directed the authorities to take required action over the demands of the delegation to ensure that State was made a nursery of best medical professionals at all level.
