Palampur: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on fourth day of his winter sojourn of Kangra district dedicated and laid foundation stones of development projects amounting to more than 12 crore in Palampur assembly segment today.

The Chief Minister inaugurated a bridge over Pun rivulet on Sungal-Sarsowa-Padhairkhar road completed with an outlay of Rs. 1.07 crore, inaugurated distribution of Pandtuhal flow irrigation scheme for six habitations of the area covering 170 hectares of land completed with a cost of Rs 2.34 crore.

He also performed Bhoomi-Poojan for improvement and up-gradation of Rathan-Maniara via Ropa Ghar road to be completed with an outlay of Rupees 1.83 crore, laid foundation stone of Rs 3.57 crore water supply scheme for Banuri Khas panchayat in tehsil Palampur, which on completion, would cater to water need of as many as 13000 people of six habitations of Banuri Khas Panchayat.

The Chief Minister also performed foundation stone of water supply scheme for Chudrehar and Molichak villages and to be completed with an expenditure of 70.26 lakh.

Virbhadra Singh also laid foundation stone of additional block of Civil Hospital, Palampur and also performed Bhoomi-Poojan of improvement and up-gradation of road from SSB Chowk to connect Lohna via Goswami habitation to cost Rs. 2.55 crore.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh also announced to upgrade bed capacity of civil hospital Palampur to 200 from existing 100.

HP Vidhan Sabha Speaker Brij Bihari Lal Butail thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating projects worth over 12 crores in Palampur assembly constituency. The speaker demanded circuit house for Palampur.
