In the wake Congress’ poll debacle, leader of opposition and veteran BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal has asked Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to resign from the post immediate on moral ground.
Dhumal reminded chief minister about his repeated election claim of no Modi wave in the state. Former Chief Minister said that Virbhadra Singh has lost the people’s confidence in the state and thus he should resign on moral grounds.
He also congratulate BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narender Modi, BJP national president Rajnath Singh, other party leaders and party workers over the landslide victory and expressed hope to transfer India into a world power.
Many other state BJP leaders including state party president Satpal Singh Satti, Hamirpur parliamentarian Anurag Thakur and party state spokesperson Ganesh Dutt also demanded Chief Minister resignation on moral ground.
Anurag Thakur claimed that Virbhadra Singh has lost confidence of the electorates and thus he should resign from the post like Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Former Cabinet Minister and senior party leader Rajiv Bindal also advised Singh to accept people mandate.
Party state spokesperson Ganesh Dutt stated that people of the state have rejected Congress and out of 68 assembly segment, Congress has lost people’s confidence in 60 assembly constituencies.
