BJP giving more importance to rally than assembly session: Chief Minister

On the sixth day of budget session, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha was giving deserted look as none of opposition member takes part in the daily proceeding. Opposition was protesting and walking out from the budget session from first day of session over reported Chief Minister ‘bounded labour’ remark.

Irked over the opposition decision of not attending today’s session, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh accused opposition for giving more importance to Gujarat Chief Minister and the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s February 16 Sujanpur rally than the assembly session.

Congress leader and Dalhousie legislature Asha Kumari also condemn opposition decision and accused them for running away from their responsibility. She said that the budget debate should be opened by the leader of opposition and their action doesn’t depict healthy parliamentary practice.

On the other side opposition BJP has accused Chief Minister for the stalemate. Party leaders have demanded apology from Chief Minister over his reported remark against BJP legislatures.
