Shimla: Himachal Pradesh BJP terms budget 2014-15 disappointing and against the common people of the state.
BJP state Gen Sec Randhir Sharma, in a press conference at Shimla, accused Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for misleading common people of the state and only mentioning those figures which were favoring his Govt.
BJP leader said that CM has failed to address the impact of the budget. Sharma said that the budget expenditure was estimated for 2014-15 is Rs 23,613, which is only 8.5 percent more then the previous year. He detailed out that during Prem Kumar Dhumal regime budget expenditure for 2011-12 was Rs. 17,328 and Rs. 20,244 in 2012-13.
Sharma said that the development of the state will hamper as Govt has failed to increase its capital expenditure. He also accuses mere Rs. 300 crore in annual plan proposal to Rs 4,400 crore from Rs 4100 crore in 2013-14. He believes that the state government has failed to address the issue of state with centre government.
BJP leader said that revenue receipt has also decreased to Rs. 16,522 crore from Rs. 17,701 crore in comparison to 2013-14 budgets. He questioned the efficiency of state government and accused it for failing to mobilise the resources. Sharma said that during BJP led Govt tenure revenue of state was increasing at good pace as in 2011-12 it was Rs. 14543 crore and Rs. 16343 crore in 2012-14 financial year.
BJP leader accused state government for failing to check the fiscal deficit as it has increased to Rs. 5,354 crore against Rs. 2324 crore in 2013-14 and Rs. 1930 crore in 2012-13.
Randhir Sharma also accused Chief Minister for taking credit of work initiated or executed by Dhumal government. He claim that many announcement detailed out in CM’s budget address was initiated by Dhumal Govt and Virbhadra Singh was wrongly taking credit of them.
