Shimla: After getting support from Cabinet colleagues and state party Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh got support of all the five Independent MLA’s including Rajinder Rana, Balbir Singh Verma, Manohar Dhiman, Kirnesh Jung and Pawan Kajal over alleged corruption allegations.
Independent legislature, in their joint statement, issued from DPR office here today, took a dig at BJP, especially Dhumal for contemptuous remarks against Chief Minister and his family in the media for hiding their own misdeeds. They said that the State has never witnessed such Political indecency wherein the BJP has stooped to the lowest-ebb by patronizing corruption. They said that Dhumals are behaving in undignified manner by tweeting into the personal lives of Virbhadra Singh and his family thereby crossing all limits of decency.
MLA’s remarked that the BJP leaders were perplexed over the Congress charge-sheet and fearing action against them for their misdemeanor and wrongdoings they have committed during their regime, were issuing ambiguous statements to malign the image of Virbhadra Singh.
They claimed that Virbhadra Singh has a long cherished unblemished political career and raising fingers at him reflects the cheap political ideology of Dhumals, who fearing legal action against them for their misappropriation in HPCA and other benami land deals in the State during BJP rule are trying to fool the people of the State by issuing baseless statements to hide irregularities conducted by them.
Associate members of Congress led Govt advised Arun Dhumal to look thoroughly into the acts of omissions and commissions committed by his Brother Anurag Thakur and his Father Prem Kumar Dhumal while in Power, before leveling vague allegations against Singh.
They said that it is very easy to blame others rather than to peep into one’s own misdeeds. Leveling accusations is as easy as spitting venom but only people with great persistence as Virbhadra Singh can digest it.
They advise BJP leaders to refrain from issuing baseless statements in media just for the sake of attaining cheap publicity.
