Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has toughened its stance against growing indiscipline in the party and has issued show-cause notices to 84 Congress leaders, who had allegedly worked against official party candidates during the 2012 HP assembly elections.
This list includes two former ministers Natha Singh and Satya Prakash Thakur and a former deputy speaker Ram Nath Sharma.
Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Naresh Chauhan said that party has given two weeks’ time to file the replies of this notice. He added that state Congress Committee has asked these leaders to explain that why disciplinary action should not be taken against them. Notices have been issued on the recommendations of District Congress Committees (DCCs) and Block Congress Committee (BCCs) with the consent of party candidates who contested polls.
