Shimla: In a tragic incident, four members of a family, including two minors, were burnt alive when a fire broke out in a house at Manaon village of Gram Panchayat Chairi in Kasumpti assembly segment of Shimla district late last evening.
Victims have been identified as Mukesh (29) and his wife Hemlata (26) and their children Dixit (4) and Jyoti (2). However, another couple staying in the house managed to escape in time.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
Governor Kalyan Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed grief over fire incident and prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected family members.
Anirudh Singh, MLA, Kasumpti visited the incidence site and condoled the bereaved family members personally.
