Baddi: Some unidentified thieves have lifted an ATM of the State Bank of Patiala on the Barotiwala road in Baddi. Thieves lifted ATM around 4 AM yesterday that contained about Rs 7 lakh.
The incident came to light when a mechanic from Chandigarh reached at the spot around 9 am to repair the machine. On finding that it was missing, he informed bank officials, who reported the matter to the police.
Police has registered a case and investigating into the matter. So far police have recovered crowbar used in executing the crime. The miscreants, however, had taken away the hard disk of the CCTV camera at the ATM booth.
