Shimla: Trying to adopt the tactic of Aam Aadmi Party ahead of the General Election, Himachal Pradesh government has decided to invite suggestions from general public, industries, trade and farmer associations to frame its 2014-15 budget.
Principal Secretary, Finance, Dr. Shrikant Baldi, revealed that the process of formulation of the State Budget for the year 2014-15 has commenced and to make the budget more people centric and reflect the views of various stakeholders in the society, Govt has decided to include general public views in it.
Baldi said that Industries Department had been asked to take up the matter with Industries Association to give suggestions for the same. Besides Agriculture and Horticulture Departments had also been requested to elicit the suggestions of farmers, horticulturists and their associations so that these could be incorporated in the budget for the year 2014-15.
Dr. Baldi said that all the stakeholders and general masses evincing keen interest to make budget more people centric and closer to their aspirations could send their suggestions to the government. It would help the Government to frame such policies and programmes which are more development and people oriented.
