A Government spokesman said that a team of health personnel has been sent to H1N1 affected village of the State. He further said that preventive measures to contain this outbreak are being undertaken by the Department of Health and Family Welfare and added that presently there is no need to panic.

However, people are requested to report to the nearest health institution, in case, they develop any Influenza like illness (Fever, Coughing, Sneezing, Headache, Body ache, Running Nose).

Spokesman said that for prevention of disease, healthy diet, atleast 8 hours sleep, observation of personal etiquettes like use of handkerchief during sneezing, coughing, not spitting in the open space, washing hands with soap and water at regular intervals would be taken. He said that Department of Health and Family Welfare was monitoring on day-to-day basis.
