Shimla: The State Government has issued order for implementation of Market Intervention Scheme for Citrus fruits in Himachal Pradesh during the year 2013-14.
A spokesman of State Government said here today that under the scheme 500 MT Kinnow, Malta and Orange and 100 MT Galgal would be procured and procurement price will be at Rs. 6.50 per kg for Kinnow, Malta and Orange, Grade ‘B’ and Rs. 6 will be for Grade ‘C’ and Rs. 5.00 per kg for Galgal. Handling charges to the procurement agencies will be Rs. 2.65 per kg for Kinnow, Malta and Orange and Rs. 1.00 per kg for Galgal.
This scheme is being implemented from 20th November, 2013 to 15th February, 2013. HPMC had been made procurement agency and scheme shall be implemented through three collection centres set up at Bhogarwan and Inderpur in Kangra district and at Jarol in Mandi district. More Centres can be opened keeping in view the demand of the fruit growers.
