Chopal Assembly Constituency legislature Balbir Singh Verma contributed Rs. 51,000 towards Chief Minister Relief Fund. He presented a cheque to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Balbir Verma also presented another Cheque of Rs. 51,000 towards President All India Congress for Prime Minister Relief Fund.
Chief Minister was here at Shimla today presented with eight cheques of Rs. 2,79,287 towards Chief Ministers Relief Fund by Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Irrigation & Public Health) Jagjiwan Pal on behalf of various contributions made by the Government Institutions and others of Kangra.
The contributions includes Rs. 2,01,700 by Block Elementary Education Officers Bhawarna, Rs. 7,225 by Govt. Senior Secondary School Lahat, Rs. 5,100 by Shri Mast Ram Burri of village Ramhar, Rs. 7,500 by Govt. High School Thandol, Rs. 5,100 by Smt. Seema Devi of village Punner, Rs. 16,000 by Principal Govt. Senior Secondary School Naura, Rs. 31,562 by Principal Govt. Senior Secondary School Rajhoon and Rs. 5,100 by Kumari Khushbu Guleria student of 9th Class of Govt. Senior Secondary School Khera, Tehsil Palampur.
Primary Teacher Association Balh of Mandi district also contributed towards C.M. Relief Fund and presented a cheque of Rs. 2, 91,100. Excise & Taxation Minister Prakash Chaudhary on behalf of Association presented cheque to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
President of Association Puran Chand Saini, Senior Vice-President Tulsi Ram, Vice-President Pushap Raj Saini, General Secretary Hem Raj Dhiman, Treasurer Ajay Raj Pathania, President Non-Teaching Association Bansi Lal, State Representative Mitra Dev and other office bearers of the Association were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister thanked for the contributions and said that it would help in providing relief to the poor and needy persons.
