H.P. State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (HPSCSCL) contributed Rs. 51 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief fund to provide relief to the people of Kinnaur who suffered massively due to the natural calamity. Food & Civil Supplies Minister G.S. Bali presented cheque to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here today, on behalf of HPSCSCL.
H.P. State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd also contributed Rs. 11 lakh towards Prime Minister Relief fund for being further distributed to the affected people of Uttrakhand State, which bore the brunt of Natural havoc resulting in heavy loss to life and property.
Additional Chief Secretary P. Mitra, Managing Director H.P. State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. Dr. Amandeep Garg, Executive Director, HPSCSCL and other officers of Corporation were present on the occasion.
H.P. State Co-operative Bank Employees Union contributed Rs. Nine lakh twenty five thousand towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. President of union C.S. Kanwar presented cheque to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. General Secretary Sohan Singh Thakur, Executive Members Devi Kali Negi, Ramesh Chauhan, Ramesh Molta and Girish were also present on the occasion.
Senior Congress leader and health minister Kaul Singh Thakur also donated Rs. Fifty thousand towards President, AICC Relief Fund, for relief and rehabilitation of people of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand, who suffered due to flash floods in both the States. He hands over draft to Minister Virbhadra Singh.
Kaul Singh Thakur presented another Bank Draft of Rs. Fifty Thousand to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh towards CM Relief Fund as a step to provide succour to the people of ravaged-hit district Kinnaur.
Chief Minister thanked all donators for the contribution and said that the amount received towards Chief Minister Relief Fund would help in providing financial help to the poor and needy in the hour of distress.
