ADN Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) revealed that the Department of Law is to introduce a certified course in human rights and a postgraduate (PG) diploma in cyber crime prosecution and defence from 2013-14.
VC said it in the academic council of the HPU. In the academic council, he apprised about the seminars, workshops, conferences and meetings held after September last year.
HPU has also been decided to start a PG course in human resource development in the Public Administration Department at PG Centre, Shimla. A Buddhist Studies Centre has been approved for the Regional Centre, Dharamsala. It has also been decided to introduce a one-year diploma course in pharmaceutical chemistry. A modification has also been made in the syllabus of MSc, MPhil and PhD in the Department of Chemistry.
Bajpai informed the council regarding the introduction of new courses under Vision-2020 document for self-financing courses during 2013-2014. The council approved the academic calendar for the 2013-14, including admissions, teaching hours, examinations and vacation schedule.
