An ill fated private bus fell into a gorge, near Karot village under Sujanpur police station, in which a woman, Mansa Devi of Darudu village, was killed and 25 others injured. The injured were taken to the hospitals at Sujanpur and Hamirpur. Four of them are critical injured, but in stable condition.
The bus belonging to Jarial Bus Service was on its way to Nadaun from Sujanpur, when the driver of the bus lost control and the bus fell into the gorge. Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur, Rajender Singh Thakur, has announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 10,000 to the family of the deceased and Rs 5,000 to the injured. The police has registered a case of negligent driving against the driver of the bus.
