An earthquake of a light intensity was felt in Himachal Pradesh. It was measured 4.8 on the Richter scale and was felt for some seconds around 5.45 p.m. in the state. Official at the state Meteorological Office confirmed it and stated that the epicenter was in Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.
