131st Board of Directors (BoD) meeting of State Civil Supplies Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Ramesh Dhawala, here today. While addressing the meeting, Minister said that bonus of Rs. 5000 would be given to all the employees of State Civil Supplies Corporation on the occasion of Deepawali.
Dhawala said that the Corporation had registered a business of Rs. 437.12 crore from April 2012 to July, 2012, which is 16 percent more than the corresponding period of previous year. He said that Corporation had registered a turnover of Rs. 1122 crore in the year 2011-12. The decision to give Rs. 35.15 lakh as dividend to the State Government was reached upon in the meeting. Besides, it was also decided to give Rs. two crore towards Employees Pension Scheme.
The proposal to open an LPG godown in Kullu district by State Civil Supplies Corporation was granted approval in the meeting. To further strengthen the sale of uncontrolled items of the Corporation, valuable suggestions were put forth especially with the focus on increasing the sale of medicines. The BoD decided to implement the e-tendering system in the Corporation.
The BoD also decided to implement 4-9-14 formula in accordance with State Government’s policy and give additional increment to the class IV employees on completion of 20 years of service so that employees of the Corporation could be benefited.
Ram Swaroop Sharma, Vice Chairman, Civil Supplies Corporation, Members of the BoD, Prem Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, J.C. Sharma, Secretary, CM, Subhashish Panda, Secretary, Finance, A.S. Rathore, Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, B.M. Nanta, Managing Director, State Civil Supplies Corporation also attended the meeting among others.
